Septic tank pumping is the process of a septic system professional using a large hose to suck out liquid and sludge from your tank, which keeps your system working properly and prevents unnecessary build-up.
When you have a home with a septic tank, you need to have it pumped regularly every three to five years to remove the solid waste that settles at the bottom of the septic tank and forms the sludge. This adds volume of food waste to the septic tank and increases the need for pumping. You should also avoid planting trees within 30 feet of the septic tank or drainfield and never park or drive on the septic tank or drainage field.
